Today I am back with a simple and very useful trick, that is, How To Increase USB Transfer Rate by More than 2 Times.

This is an era of Computer Geeks. Every person prefers to do his/her projects, assignments etc. on Computer , transfer them to USB and presenting them at respective places. Or may be not the projects only, but we also get softwares, games etc. from our friends with the help of USB. But, What if the USB transfer rate/speed is very slow..??



The Answer is, we gonna face much problems because it is not necessary that every time our projects would size few MBs only. It may exceed upto GBs sometimes. We may face the problems while office presentations or may our system got hanged while presenting our project, then we would be bullied over months in our offices due to a single silly problem and our reputation may also decrease in front of our seniors.....

So here's a trick I discovered to speed up the USB transfer speed.

Increase USB transfer rate:

• Open My Computer >> Right Click USB >> Properties

• Then on the Hardware tab select the connected USB >> Properties >> Policies.

• Now select "Optimize for Performance" option instead of  "Optimize for Quick Removal".

• Format the USB with NTFS System.

• Done.

How to Set a Custom Logon Screen Background on Windows 7

How would you like if you can change the logon screen background in Windows 7 so as to give  your Windows a customized look and feel….??

  With a small tweak it is possible to customize the Windows 7 logon screen and set your own picture or wallpaper as the background .

            Changing the logon scree background is as simple as changing your desktop wallpaper. Well here is a step by step instruction to customize the logon screen background.

Steps:

1.     The image you need to set as the background should be a (.jpg) file and its size should not exceed 245kb.

2.     The image resolution can be anything of your choice. However, I prefer (1440*900) or (1024*768). You can use any of the photo editing software such as photoshop and set the resolution for your image. Once this done, save this image as (backgroundDefault.jpg).

3.     You will need to copy this image to {C:\Windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds }. (You will need to create that path if it does not already exist on your computer.)

4.     Now open the registry editor [Start -> Run -> Type “Regedit”] and navigate to the following key. {HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\aunthetication\logon UI\Background }. If Background does not exist Right-Click “Logon UI”, select “New” and then key, and then name it  “Backround”. Now locate “OEM Background” (On Right Side). If doesn’t exist, right click “Background” and select “New” and then “DWORD” and name it “OEM Background”.

5.     Double-Click on “OEM Background” and set the value data to 1.

6.     Now log-off to see the new logon screen background.

(If you want to revert back to the default background, just set the value data back to 0)

Increase Your Broadband Speed (XP Pro Only)

In today's fast moving world nobody have patience whether we want to have food in McDonald or to catch a bus we don't want to wait.

     But in some cases we have to wait because they are not under our control. One of the such things is our broadband internet speed. If we have to surf the net we have to wait for minutes after clicking on the link leave alone the thought of downloading.

  So what to do....?? How could we increase our broadband internet speed....??

Here i am with a simple tweak through which you can increase your broadband speed in just a few minutes but it has one limitation that it works only with WINDOWS XP Pro.

So here it goes.....

First of all, logon as administrator (IMPORTANT)

Check your broadband internet speed at SPEED TEST before performing this tweak.

Now follow the steps given below:

1. Click on START button.

2. Select RUN.

3. Type "gpedit.msc" .

4. Expand the (Administrative templates) branch.

5. Then expand the (Network) branch.

6. Highlight (Select by single click) [QoS Packet Scheduler].

7. Double-Click [Limit Reservable Bandwidth] (Available in Right Side Panel).

8. Check [Select by Single Click on it] (Enabled).

9. Change [Bandwidth limit %] to 0.

10. Click OK button.

11. Restart you PC.

12. Now again check your broadband speed at SPEED TEST.
